KYLIE Minogue spent her day off from touring the world at home with her parents in Canterbury yesterday.
The home-grown star flew in from Sydney on Sunday night for her long-awaited Melbourne shows at Rod Laver Arena, starting tonight.
On arrival, Minogue and boyfriend Andres Velencoso avoided the chaos caused by volcanic ash at Melbourne Airport and were quickly escorted from the tarmac to a waiting car.
But yesterday, it was back home for the Step Back in Time singer, who spent the day at Minogue mansion with parents Ron and Carol.
The diminutive star looked like the typical Melburnian, rugged up from head to toe in black as she left in the afternoon to return to her hotel.
While she had some down time, it was all go for golf nut Velencoso.
At the crack of dawn, Dannii Minogue’s partner Kris Smith picked him up and headed straight to Crown’s exclusive Capital Golf Course.and mad sports fans.
“Great game of golf with @andres velencoso this morning, even though I was awful on the back 9. Managed to scrape a draw is the up side,” Smith later tweeted.
An estimated $25 million has been spent on Kylie’s spectacular live show for her Aphrodite: Les Folies world tour.
She performs at Rod Laver Arena tonight, Wednesday and Thursday.
